Sweeping changes to Medicaid coverage, the U.S. government health care program for low-income people, could take effect in Washington state as early as next month. In response, the state’s top officials and health care system leaders have announced a plan intended to soften the impact of expected reductions in available medical services and the number of people receiving coverage.
