The three-screen cinema center in the historic Columbia City building formerly known as Ark Lodge Cinemas has been operating successfully for a year and a half since its purchase by the nonprofit organization Tasveer. The organization is also preparing to hold the 21st Tasveer Festival, a prestigious event and the only festival of its kind whose films are eligible for Oscar consideration. Tasveer emphasizes that the development of the theater and festival is just the beginning of more ambitious plans.
