The Grant County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of two suspects in the killing of 24-year-old Christopher Vincent, whose body with shotgun wounds was found May 26, 2021, on Airway Drive in Moses Lake, Washington. The crime remained unsolved for a long time due to a lack of evidence, but recently obtained information allowed investigators to develop a new lead.
According to investigators, on the day of the incident two 15-year-old teenagers in a car spotted Vincent walking early in the morning. Deciding to rob the pedestrian, the suspects turned around, pulled up to the victim, and the passenger shot the young man with a shotgun. Vincent’s body was discovered several hours later by a passing driver.
Grant County Prosecutor Brandon Gernsey expressed hope that the arrests would bring some measure of comfort to the victim’s family and that justice would prevail. “Our hearts are with Mr. Vincent’s family, who continue to grieve this unimaginable loss,” said sheriff’s spokesperson Kyle Forman, emphasizing that authorities intend to do everything possible to establish the truth.
