Seattle will settle into a stable weather pattern this week, with cloudy mornings followed by sunshine in the afternoon. Daytime temperatures will remain between 24 and 27°C, roughly matching the seasonal average of about 26°C. According to Logan Howard, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, the forecast looks unusually predictable for summer, when conditions often change because of heat, wildfires, wind and smoke.
The familiar pattern will continue Friday morning, but an atmospheric disturbance could move into the region during the afternoon and alter the weather. Rain and thunderstorms are possible in the mountains, though it is not yet clear whether precipitation will reach Seattle itself. Meteorologists also note that, following the recent peak in average summer temperatures, typical highs will gradually decline as September approaches.
