Official documents have been filed to begin a recall effort against Mayor Wilson — a voter-initiated process to remove an elected official before the end of the term. This does not mean the mayor has already been removed from office: the process must now go through the legally required steps, including a review of the grounds for the recall and, likely, the collection of signatures. Only then could the matter be put to a vote.
