On Thursday, Daniel Zeyna and Alemayehu Guletat played music outside Quick Pack Food Mart in Seattle’s Central District. Their instruments change from day to day, but this time Zeyna performed on the masinko, a traditional Ethiopian string instrument. The duo performs on the street regularly, giving the neighborhood a distinctive atmosphere and introducing passersby to Ethiopian musical traditions.
