Chelan County officials have asked Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson to provide funding for emergency repairs to Company Creek Road, an important route in the remote Stehekin area. Commissioners stressed that the work must be completed before the fall rains arrive in October, as heavy precipitation could worsen the damage and make access to the community more difficult. County representatives voiced the same concerns at a meeting of the three-member commission on Aug. 11.
