Venezuela welcomes U.S. recognition and calls for dialogue

Acting President of Venezuela Delcy Rodríguez praised U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize the Venezuelan authorities, calling the move a gesture toward the country’s people and their just cause. In a message on the social network X, Rodríguez expressed the Venezuelan government's readiness to build long-term relations with the United States based on mutual respect, equality, and international law, emphasizing that diplomatic dialogue is a constructive way to resolve disagreements between the countries.

Donald Trump officially announced recognition of the interim government of Venezuela during his speech at the "Summit of the Americas" in Florida, noting that the decision had been formalized last week. The step marks a new stage in the restoration of diplomatic relations between Washington and Caracas, opening opportunities for cooperation in the interests of both countries after a period of tension in bilateral ties.
