Acting President of Venezuela Delcy Rodríguez said her administration is prepared to open a new chapter in foreign policy, particularly in relations with the US government, with the aim of resolving historic disagreements by diplomatic means. During a visit to an agricultural project in the state of Lara, Rodríguez emphasized that any joint agenda must be based on mutual respect, adherence to international law and goodwill. She also confirmed that her powers as acting president strictly conform to the country's constitution, and expressed her intent to build relations with Washington in a spirit of friendship and within constitutional norms.
