Venezuelan President Delcy Rodríguez chaired a Council of Ministers meeting at the Miraflores Palace, where she and the vice presidents and heads of government agencies reviewed key issues on the national agenda. The main topic was the double earthquake that struck on June 24. Two months after the disaster, the authorities assessed its consequences and the implementation of the “Venezuela Rises Again” plan, which provides for housing reconstruction and social assistance for those affected. Rodríguez emphasized the tragedy’s severe humanitarian consequences and said the government remains committed to recovery efforts. According to her, organized citizens, rescue services, and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces joined the relief effort immediately after the emergency.
