Venezuelan President Delcy Rodríguez reported meeting with US President Donald Trump, describing it as historic. The sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations and developing cooperation in strategic areas, including energy, mining and security, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
Rodríguez thanked Trump and the US government for assisting Venezuela following the earthquakes on June 24 and for supporting the country’s return to participation in multilateral international forums. According to her, the historic ties between the two countries should be developed under the new political circumstances through dialogue and diplomacy focused on concrete results and collective benefits for the Venezuelan people.
