Venezuelan President Delcy Rodríguez visited the Leti pharmaceutical plant in Guarenas, Miranda state, and said the country aims to bring industrial capacity utilization to 100% over the next five years. She said the plant plans to produce 66 million units in 2026 and increase output in 2027.
Rodríguez said priorities include reducing dependence on imports, supplying the domestic market and expanding exports. This, she said, should create jobs and generate foreign currency revenue for the country. She also noted that the authorities are working with multilateral financial institutions to accelerate productivity growth. The president thanked Leti’s employees; the company has been in operation for more than 70 years. Government representatives responsible for health, industry and other areas were also present at the meeting.
