Venezuelan President Delcy Rodríguez said at the 2026 World Food Forum in Rome that the country is once again approaching the goal of eradicating hunger. According to Rodríguez, Venezuela had already achieved this benchmark, but international sanctions later negatively affected its production capacity and food supplies for the population. She stressed that the government continues to strengthen social protection and food security, and called on all countries to develop responsible agricultural production while taking nature’s interests into account.
